I was hoping for a quick cheap software fix or something to make it all compatible. Thanks Thanks.Did that, but asus doesn't have any information on this board. Hi James, Your best bet will be to visit the Asus website and click on the 'support' tab at the top of the screen. Select the link for 'drivers' and specify your motherboard model. It's possible that there will be a BIOS update for your Asus m/board.
If so, do a BIOS flash and check if your PC will then accept your new CPU. Take care when flashing the BIOS.
Make sure there are no power interruptions etc. While performing this procedure as this could corrupt your BIOS software and render your motherboard useless. Feel free to message me should you need more details or further assistance. Best wishes, Graemevm Posted on Jan 12, 2012.
